Q: Why should I choose JWS Removals for my move?

A: At JWS Removals, we promise a personalised removalist service to ensure a stress-free move from start to finish. 

Backed with more than 10 years’ experience specialising in furniture removals, logistics, as well as fine arts and antique relocations, owner Jack Stafford, works with clients personally, from the in-person, no-obligation free quote, all the way through to the unload. 

To ensure your items are best protected, we use quality furniture blankets, boxes, plastic furniture protective covers, trolleys, carpeted truck floors and felt pads for in-home floor protection.

Q: Can I receive a quote without you coming to my property?

A: Yes. We understand people have busy lives and can accommodate quotes outside of business hours. If we can’t find a time that works, you can email contact@jwsremovals.com.au with the following:

  • The amount of items you need moved, including photos of any large items, such as dining tables and couches

  • The pick-up and drop-off locations

  • The date that you need to move on, noting that the more dates you can provide, the more chances we will have to accommodate your move

  • Any access requirements of the property, such as your floor level in an apartment or steep driveways 

Once we receive this information, we will work to send you a quote and availability as soon as we can. Once the quote is agreed on, we can confirm your move date.

Q: Do you charge a cancellation fee?

A: No. We understand things come up that are outside of your control. However, we are a small, local business and rely on our upcoming bookings. Please let us know as early as you can if anything changes, so we can book another job on that date.

Q: I have a lot of fragile items, such as antiques and fine arts, can you guarantee they will arrive safely?

A: We specialise in everything from fine arts and antiques to standard kitchen breakables. We pride ourselves on packing everything as if it were our own to ensure all goods travel safely.

Q: We have been given an expected settlement date, can we move on that day?

A: Settlement doesn’t always go through on the date planned, with properties often not settling until late in the afternoon or on a future date. 

We recommend booking your move date at least 2 days prior to ensure your move will go ahead as planned. We book out weeks and sometimes months in advance and might not be able to accommodate a new date, if your booking is cancelled. This will also allow time for you to clean your property and/or make any repairs.

Q: What rates does JWS Removals charge?

A: Our rates are dependent on a few key factors including:

  • the amount of items you need moved

  • access to the pick-up and drop-off locations

  • the distance between the pick-up and drop-off locations.

Q: What happens during my in-person, free quote?

A: Jack, the owner of JWS Removals, will work with you to organise half-an-hour of your time that best suits you to come to your home and provide you with a free quote. 

In-person quotes allow us to understand exactly what needs to be moved and what the access of the property is like. It’s also an opportunity to discuss what you need to do in the lead up to the move, what will happen on the day, and it’s a great chance for you to ask any questions, too!

Q: I have new items that weren’t included in the quote, do I need to tell you?

A: Yes. We need to understand all items that need to be moved to ensure we have the right amount of staff for the job, the best vehicle and all the right gear. If anything changes before your move date, please call Jack on 0448 401 604 with as much notice as you can, so we can ensure your move is as smooth as possible.

Q: I have new items that weren’t included in the quote, does the quote change?

A: That depends. We understand things change or are missed in the process and are more than happy to include an extra item or two, free of charge. If there are a large amount of additional items, let us know, and we can adjust the quote accordingly. 

If anything changes before your move date, please call on 0448 401 604 with as much notice as you can, so we can ensure your move is as smooth as possible.

Q: Do you offer pre-packing services?

A: Yes. We offer pre-packing services where our team comes and packs everything, or as many rooms as required, in your home prior to your move. 

​

Q: Does JWS Removals use labour hire?

A: No. We run a small group of dedicated staff so you know your items will be looked after. 

We pride ourselves on our professionalism and that's why we don't use labour hire, only quality experienced removalists who know how to get the job done right​.
